What is UPF and why is it important?

UPF is the Ultraviolet Protection Factor. Its rating provides the spectrum protection that protects against both UVA (aging rays) and UVB rays (burning rays).

While SPF (found in sunscreen) only protects against UVB rays, UPF measures protection against the full spectrum of ultraviolet radiation.
